Womyn for Social Justice planning a film festival in celebration of International Women’s Day, March 8

The celebratory kick-off of the film festival will take place on Thursday, March 8, at the Indian Friendship Centre, 122 East Street from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Refreshments will be served and a number of activities are planned.

The film festival will run Friday evening, March 9, and all day Saturday, March 10, at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 10 East Street.

The films listed below will be shown:

Friday, March 9 at Art Gallery of Algoma

6:30 p.m. - Introduction

7 p.m. - Water

Saturday, March 10 at Art Gallery of Algoma

11 a.m. - Finding Dawn

Smudge

3 p.m. - At My Mother’s Breast

Activities & celebration

5 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Break

6 p.m. - Whale Rider

Activities & celebration

The film festival and activities are free of charge and all are welcome!
