Free concerts all summer long in Soo Michigan

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan: free concerts all summer at Music in the Park!

The Soo Theatre and STARS kicks off the City of Sault Ste. Marie’s Music in the Park series Wednesday , June 13 at 7 p.m. at the Soo Theatre.

This season-opening event includes performances by the STARS Footlights Dance Theatre, directed by Dianna George. 

It also will feature the STARS Youth Orchestra, directed by Dottie Case.  

Members of the cast of this summer’s upcoming musical Carousel, will be presenting scenes for the play scheduled for July 19-22.

The 2012 Music in the Park Concert Series schedule includes the following:

June 13 – Soo Theatre and Stars (at the Soo Theatre)

June 20 – The Banjo Picker and Friends

June 27 – Pub Runners

July 11 – Petoskey Steel Drum Band

July 18 – Blue Water Ramblers

July 25 – Gentleman George

Aug 1  – No Strings Attached

Aug 8  – Bitter Moon

Aug 15 – Lise White and Friends

Aug 22 – Rich Eddie’s Rock and Roll Oldies

Again, don’t miss Music in the Soo Locks Park (corner of Portage Avenue and Water Street) every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. from June to the end of August.
