Fringe North comes with a warning: Expect the Unexpected.

"Fringe North 2023 creates a vibrant platform for artists of all backgrounds to showcase their creativity and engage with diverse audiences," says a news release. "The festival's tagline, 'Expect the Unexpected,' captures the spirit of the event, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in the magic and authenticity of the arts and experience new perspectives."

The five-day celebration of the arts is only a month away, taking place Aug. 16-20.

This multi-arts festival will transform the Sault Ste. Marie Museum into a bustling hub of artistic expression, with performances, exhibitions, and interactive experiences that blur the boundaries between disciplines. From theater and film to dance, visual arts to music, and everything in between, Fringe North 2023 promises to captivate and inspire attendees of all ages, adds the release.

“The Sault Ste. Marie Museum is excited to welcome you to this amazing multi-arts festival in our historic building” says Executive Director William Hollingshead. “Fringe North and the Sault Ste. Marie Museum have partnered up once again to bring you some amazing artists, performers, and talent in new and exciting ways. Celebrating 40 years in our current building, the Sault Ste. Marie Museum welcomes you to come down and discover your Museum and cultural hub.”
