Called Music of the Americas, the afternoon featured music by Canadian, American, Mexican and Argentinian composers.

There was also the reading of four poems by Charles G.D. Roberts and a performance from the Giigidoo Nimkii Rolling Thunder drum group, young men from ages 11 to 15 who are learning the traditions of the Ojibway people.

They are from Michipicoten, Garden River, Mississagi, and Wikwemikong.

The next symphony performance will be Sounds of the Season, happening on Sunday, Dec. 15.
