Stories in the North is throwing another Open Mic party on Friday, September 20, 7 p.m. at the Thessalon Legion.

Come on out and take a shot at winning $50 by sharing your original work in one or more of four categories: True Stories, Fiction, Poetry, Words n' Music.

Each participant has five minutes to wow the audience.

Then audience members vote by secret ballot for their favourites.

Winners in each of the four categories take home $50 and bragging rights.

Everyone has barrels of fun.

Call Angie at 842-2451 to register and pay your $5 entry fee at the door.

Audience members pay $7.

All of the proceeds pay for the prizes.

There will be free snacks and a cash bar.

We will also be celebrating the winners of our summer fiction contest.
