Incubus asks fans to help band 'Dig' in

Band offers diehards unique opportunity to create video for second single, "Dig," at Idigincubus.com

NEW YORK - Hot off a week in which they debuted on Billboard's Top 200 at number 1 with new album Light Grenades, multi-platinum Epic recording artists Incubus are turning to their fans to keep the momentum going.

The quintet is offering Incubus diehards the opportunity to create the video for their next single, "Dig."

From December 5 to January 15, fans can enter the "I Dig Incubus Contest" by logging onto idigincubus.com.

There they can download previously shot footage of the band and other digital assets, which they can play with and edit as they see fit.

The winning footage will become the official video for "Dig," and will be serviced to video and online outlets worldwide.

The promotion spotlights the popularity of user-generated content and the band's eagerness to find new ways to interact and connect with fans.

"We're extremely excited about this," says lead singer Brandon Boyd.

“It's a rare opportunity for our fans to create their own unique and lasting piece of art," Boyd said.

"We're encouraging everyone to enter and let their creativity flow," he said.

"We're psyched to see what people come up with."

Incubus recently teamed with Verizon Wireless for an online promotion in which fans directed a special video for their number 1 rock radio hit, "Anna Molly," currently streaming on Yahoo.

You can catch Incubus playing "Anna Molly," "Dig" and other favorites from Light Grenades on their upcoming sold out tour which kicks off January 5 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver and will cover 25 major cities across the U.S. and Canada.
