Paula Wolfson brings her one-woman musical comedy show to the Red Top Motor Inn, Iron Bridge

The Red Top Motor Inn is proud to present Between Engagements written by and starring Paula Wolfson with Christopher Mounteer at the piano.

The show will be preceded by a "Bounty of Summer Harvest Dinner" with fresh rainbow trout from Iron Bridge.

This event will take place on September 8 and 9, 2006.

Between Engagements is a one-woman cabaret created and performed by Dora Award-winner Paula Wolfson, that brings an audience behind-the-scenes in pursuit of a career in show business.

The search for love, the search for work in the theatre.

The perils of the pursuit are paralleled in more ways than you think!

This one-woman show is audience interactive, with something for everyone among the musical selections - from Broadway to popular Canadian musical theatre, '60s pop to contemporary.

Jon Kaplan of Now Magazine, Toronto called it "A dynamite cabaret evening..."

Paula Wolfson (writer/performer) is a 24-year veteran of the theatre.

She has toured much of North America, including the first Canadian national tour of Les Misérables and the second USA national tour of Beauty and the Beast, and has worked in Canada from the Charlottetown Festival in Prince Edward Island to the Belfry Theatre in Victoria, in both musical and dramatic works.

Paula holds a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Principal Performer for her role in Shakin' the Foundations at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, and shares a Jessie Richardson Award with the Vancouver cast of When We Were Singing (Outstanding Ensemble).

Paula went on to appear in subsequent productions of When We Were Singing at Buddies in Bad Times in Toronto, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and the Belfry Theatre in Victoria.

"Paula Wolfson has a lush, friendly voice that welcomes you into the music..." – Kate Taylor, Globe and Mail, Toronto

"Paula Wolfson isn't afraid... her full-throated emotional singing is one of the evening's joys..." – Richard Ouzounian, Toronto Star, Toronto

Christopher Mounteer is a musical director and pianist that has worked on such diverse shows as Annie Get Your Gun, The Fantasticks, Fire, A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, Piaf: A Life in Song and Forever Plaid.

He is currently on the faculty of the music theatre department at Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario.
