Estate of Madness
February 19th, 1973
Four people with no correlation find themselves confined in the walls of a small, derelict family home. The house plagues their dreams with nightmares, scaling in intensity, with the effects bleeding into their waking lives damaging their sanity. Three of the people enter the house through normal means, the veteran who used to own the house, the free-spirit who just wanted some adventure, and the naive teenager who just wanted a cool story to impress his friends, however things quickly take a turn when a woman is discovered living inside the house already with a dark secret.
The four navigate through the walls of the house desperate for any sense of freedom they can find, but the house has other plans.
As madness starts taking hold, drastic decisions are made, trust is shattered, and blood will be spilled.
Auditions
Auditions will begin with a brief introduction, followed by a warm-up. Actors are asked to prepare 16 bars of a monologue, approximately 45 seconds to 1 minute long, then learn a scene from the show and perform it.
Rolls available for casting include: Elliot, the Vietnam veteran; Mallory, the free-spirited woman; Otis, the naive teenager; and Hilda, the woman residing in the house. There will also be a handful of ensemble roles needed as well.
