The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre's Ranger Theatre will be the site of a pop-up screening that will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Fright Night.

The 1985 vampire flick from Tom Holland brings with it a blend of horror, humour, and heart that earned the film a devoted following.

The screening is on May 24 with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the film beginning at 8 p.m.

Tickets are limited and only available in advance for $15. There will be bar service from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase.

Fright Night is a love letter to late-night TV horror hosts, VHS tapes, and 80s vampires with serious style,” says Keith Brown, co-founder of The Reel Film Forum. “We want fans to relive the magic, and new audiences to discover why Fright Night still bites after 40 years.”

The night will also feature a pre-show video surprise from someone who helped bring Fright Night to life, free retro vampire teeth with every ticket, and a door prize draw that will see one audience member go home with a signed photo of Stephen Geoffreys, who played “Evil Ed” Thompson.
