They blur the lines of reggae and rock. You can hear the influence of punk, dancehall, world, dub, and jungle in their songs. Their latest CD was recorded by Darryl Jenifer of Bad Brains. They will be performing live at the Downbeat Lounge on Sunday, October 10th at 11:30 pm.
Made up of Jay Malinowski, Eon Sinclair, and Pat Pengelly, Bedouin Soundclash drive a heavy rhythm with sweet harmonies and expert musicianship. Their debut CD,"Root Fire" was recorded in a stunning 12 hours, live off the floor, and was heralded by Exclaim magazine as one of that year's best albums. Their live show has gained them favourable attention from the likes of Gordie Johnson, who invited the band along on several dates of Big Sugar's Canadian farewell tour.
Bedouin Soundclash's follow-up "Sounding A Mosaic" (with Bad Brain's Darryl Jenifer) features a stunning reworking of the classic "Money Worries" as well as many brilliant new original reggae-infused tracks.
