The 102nd annual Rotary Community Day Parade is taking place on July 19.
This year's theme is "Making Waves."
Participants are encouraged to use various modes of transportation, including ATVs, golf carts, or bicycles.
“This theme should produce some exciting entries, and we look forward to seeing the creativity of the various entrants,” shared Parade Marshal, David Marshall.
“This year's parade will take the same route as last year due to construction on Queen Street. It will start on Queen Street at Church Street, proceed South onto Pim Street, and West on Bay Street. We've had several positive comments about the new parade route. We anticipate an excellent Parade as usual.”
Prizes for best corporate entry, best community entry, and entry best depicting theme will include a plaque and a $500 cash prize.
The Best in Parade Winston Piper Memorial Trophy recipient will take home a grand prize of $1,000.
Organizations, businesses, and community groups interested in learning more can download the parade information package online.
Applications are due Wednesday, July 9.
