The Sault Golf club excitedly welcomed back “Golf for Kid’s Sake,” the fourth annual charity golf tournament helping support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sault Ste. Marie.
Thirty-four teams of four hit the course in a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon, playing the course in a scramble format.
Big Brother Big Sisters board chair Marc Sageloly says this was their first attempt at fundraising since the pandemic, and he’s thrilled to see the event come together with the way it did.
“It really means a lot,” he said. “COVID really impacted us, so to see the tournament come together, and by selling out with all the teams registered, we couldn’t be happier.”
Following the scramble, golfers will head across the street to Mulligan’s Irish Pub for dinner, prizes, and a silent auction.
