Emma Maguire, a Grade 11 student and one of the student leaders organizing this year’s event, shared her excitement:
“It has been an honour to work with my friends to produce this wonderful night packed with fun," Maguire said. "I look forward to seeing everyone in their element and all the joy shared—not just between performers, but also among crew members and the audience.
“Each act has worked hard to earn a spot on stage. Their energy, passion, and commitment are truly admirable.”
AMPED UP: To the Night Garden will showcase both new and experienced performers, including the debut of the Superior Heights Grade 7 and 8 intermediate rock band, as well as the seasoned musicians of Steel Rock, the school’s secondary rock band.
As an ensemble, Steel Rock has performed at Rotary Fest and has upcoming gigs at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and the Downtown Plaza.
Sarah Cormier, Superior Heights’ French Immersion history teacher and rock band coach, emphasizes the significance of the event.
“We are incredibly excited for this upcoming showcase, where our students will highlight their dedication, creativity, and passion," Cormier said. "From the talented musicians taking the stage to the culinary students crafting an exceptional dining experience, this night will truly celebrate their hard work.
“It’s an opportunity to recognize the excellence of both our music and culinary arts programs here at Superior Heights, and I have no doubt our students will make us all proud.”
Join us for an unforgettable evening as we shine the spotlight on Superior Heights’ incredible talent.
