A day of live music that has collected toys, food and funds for the needy is back again this year, with some of the Sault’s most talented musicians, young and old.
Toystock “Rock the Cause” will feature 10 bands in 10 hours on Sunday, Nov. 27, starting at noon at The Grand Gardens.
The event is made possible by sponsor GS Entertainment and Design.
Toystock will showcase an array of musical styles.
This year’s acts include: Jeremy Logan Newman, The Long & McQuade Band, Vanity First, Ravencore, Rob Wagner, Bourbon Blue, Soundcheck, Brendan Hodgson, Mustang Heart, and Bone Yard.
Admission is by donation of a new or slightly used toy, a nonperishable food item, or a monetary donation.
It’s also a family event, so participants are encouraged to bring the kids, as Santa Claus and some other special guests will be there and available for photos.
There will also be volunteers doing face painting, a children’s toy/play area and more.
Stuff A Bus will be on site for the day.
Every year, near the end of the day, the crowd helps stuff the bus full of donations that were collected throughout the event.
Now in its ninth year, Toystock has donated "tonnes" of toys, food and money to the local Christmas Cheer campaign, organizers note in a news release.
With donations and support, they are hoping to make this the best and biggest Toystock to date.
The Grand Gardens is located at 1324 Great Northern Rd.
