Which 2008 movie has more bang for your buck?

The second highest grossing film of all time, The Dark Knight, dominated the annual AOL movie poll for 2008.

More than 3.5 million votes were cast on-line at moviefone.com by movie buffs world-wide.

While The Dark Knight came in third on the 50 Best Movies of 2008 list with Iron Man taking the top spot, readers chose the latest Batman installment as the best bang for their buck at movie theatres.

The film was also voted as the best action movie, and Batman himself, Christian Bale, took home hottest hunk of the year honours.

Heath Ledger topped the best villain category for his portrayal as the Joker in The Dark Knight, and an overwhelming percentage of voters chose the actor's tragic death just six months prior to the movie's release as the top news story of 2008.

Mike Myers' The Love Guru didn't fare so well.

Not only did Myers' latest effort rank second on the 10 worst movies of 2008 list just behind M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening, it was chosen as the movie-goer's biggest waste of cash.
