Submissions are open for the 2007 JUNO Awards

CARAS announces changes to nomination and voting process

TORONTO, Oct. 10 - The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announces that submissions are now being accepted for the 2007 JUNO Awards, Canada's Music Awards.

The early-bird submission deadline is Wednesday, October 25, and final submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on
November 15, 2006.

The early-bird deadline applies to craft categories only,
not sales-based categories.

Deadline for (*)sales-based categories (International Album of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Group of the Year, New Artist and New Group of the Year) is January 8, 2007.

CARAS also announces changes to calculations of (*)sales-based categories and voting changes to Pop Album, Rock Album and Instrumental Album of the Year categories.
