Some excavation work has started at the site of the Sault's former hospital.
SooToday reached out to the city to see if that means the sale of the property has gone through.
Tom Vair, the city's chief administrative officer, said the work is not a sign that the sale is completed.
“Work continues at the former General Hospital site as discussions to finalize the purchase and sale agreement remain ongoing," Vair said by email.
Earlier this month, Mayor Matthew Shoemaker told SooToday that the deal should close soon.
