After switching to virtual events for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Sault Ste. Marie Terry Fox Run returns to an in-person format this year.
Registration for the Sept. 18 fundraiser begins at at the Bondar Pavilion at 8:30 a.m. The opening ceremonies and group warm-up are set to begin at 9:40 a.m. At 10 a.m., participants will walk, run or wheel the designated the 2km, 5km or 10km routes.
The after party at the Bondar Pavilion will include snacks and refreshments, kids activities, Terry Fox Foundation merchandise, and food from the Copper Bean Cafe.
Last year’s virtual event saw 645 participants raise $23,000 for the Terry Fox Foundation. To date, the Sault Ste. Marie Terry Fox Run has raised $699,300 over 42 years.
