The City of Sault Ste. Marie is asking for your feedback.

With a draft Active Transportation Master Plan developed, the city is asked residents for their thoughts on the plan, which outlines a long-term vision to support walking, cycling, and rolling across the city

"The ATMP plan aims to enhance both physical and social infrastructure by making transportation safer, more accessible, and better connected across the community," a city release noted.

"A city-wide network of sidewalks, bike routes, and multi-use trails will be designed to improve safety, increase transportation choices, and better connect key destinations across the city."

There are two drop-in public information sessions scheduled to share details of the draft plan and collect public input:

  • Public Information Session No. 1
    • Northern Community Centre
    • Tuesday, June 3, 2025
    • 4-7 p.m. (drop-in)
  • Public Information Session No. 2
    • John Rhodes Community Centre
    • Wednesday, June 4, 2025
    • 4-7 p.m. (drop-in)

The draft ATMP is available for review here.
