The owners of The Croatian Corner thanked "family, friends and valued customers for the outpouring of concern and support" after a possible fire broke out in the kitchen on Monday night.
"We also would like to give a big thanks to the Sault Ste. Marie Fire department for their quick response and action to a serious situation."
A Facebook post also says The Croatian Corner will be open for business on Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to an apparent kitchen blaze at the closed restaurant and catering business on Bruce Street on Monday.
Three firetrucks responded to a call prior to 8 p.m.
Firefighters with the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services attempted to gain entry to the building and were eventually let in through the front door when someone with keys arrived on scene.
A large pot was removed from the building after firefighters entered with respirators on. Handheld extinguishers were taken into the building and some light smoke was seen coming out the front door.
Nobody appeared to be inside the building at the time of the apparent kitchen fire.
