UPDATE: Highway 552 in Goulais reopens after flooding closure

UPDATE:

The Ontario 511 traffic service was reporting Tuesday afternoon that a closure of Highway 552 in Goulais River due to flooding has been cleared.

The closure took effect late Saturday when the road was closed in all directions from Bellevue Valley Road to Highway 556.

However, as of around 3 p.m. Tuesday the road had reopened.

Highway 552 in Goulais River is closed in all directions from Bellevue Valley Road to Highway 556 due to flooding.

The closure was originally reported by the Ministry of Transportation at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Environment Canada forecast for Sunday includes a mixture of rain, ice pellets and snow until late afternoon.
