On Sunday, June 23RD Safe Communities Partnership will be partnering with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services and Algoma Public Health to deliver the 14th Annual Kidz Summer Safety Festival at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. 

The Kidz Summer Safety Festival is a family-oriented event designed to educate children on various safety and injury prevention topics geared toward summer activities. The Festival teaches kids about safety strategies for all aspects of summer through interactive educational displays.

This year’s Festival promises to be a blast, and is offering over 30 exhibitor booths an inflatable park, a fire truck display, a school bus display, bicycle registration, face painting, bouncy castle, mini-train rides and entertainment. 

Kids will have the chance to win some great prizes, including new bicycles, after they have learned about all of the safety topics at the Festival. Families can enjoy pizza and refreshments while learning about the different summer safety strategies. 

The Festival will take place on Sunday, June 23rd from 12 to 3p.m. at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. 

Admission is free and the event will take place rain or shine. 

Organizations that will offer safety messages through their displays include Safe Communities Partnership, Algoma Public Health, City Police Services, Fire Services, John Rhodes Community Pool, Electrical Safety Authority, Sault Search and Rescue, the Canadian Bush Plane, Tree Top Adventures, YMCA, First Student, City Emergency Department, Algoma Engineering Society, Algoma Power, Emergency Medical Services, Science North, PUC Services Inc, Canada Border Services Agency, Nogdawindamin, Ministry of Natural Resources and Phatboy Fireworks.
