*************************
Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids is almost here! On Saturday, Feb. 10, snowmobilers from all over the Sault and area will gather for a day on the trails in support of children and youth with physical disabilities – and you can join them.
Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids is the largest and most renowned snowmobiling fundraising activity in the province, attracting hundreds of participants and volunteers each year in communities throughout Ontario, including Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, and Timmins.
With the help of local clubs and strong community support, Snowarama events have raised over $17.7 million for kids with physical disabilities in Ontario.
All riders who raise the minimum $150 in pledges will receive a day trail pass, along with a free breakfast, free lunch, gas top-up, and one ballot for the local prize draw. Riders ages 12 to 25 have a reduced minimum pledge requirement of $100.
To participate or donate, call 705-945-1279 or visit the website.
"I had a lot of fun at last year's Snowarama. I got to meet a lot of great people who came out,” shared local Easter Seals Ambassador Isobel Farstad. “I'm looking forward to meeting them again this year as well as new faces."
For 95 years, Easter Seals has played an important role in providing support for children and youth with physical disabilities from all ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Thanks to its generous donors, Easter Seals continues to offer programs to allow kids to focus on what they can do rather than on their limitations. Easter Seals helps by providing financial assistance for mobility equipment, communication devices and summer camp opportunities at its two properties, Camp Merrywood and Camp Woodeden. Together we are helping kids BE KIDS. For more information, visit the Easter Seals website
