The Dragonfly Shop thrift store located near the corner of Queen Street East and March Street has announced it will close next month.

A sign on the front window of the store on Monday says it will close in the third week of July.

"Thank you for the seven years we have had," the sign says.

The independently owned thrift store located at 454 Queen St. E. sold donated items, with at least some of the proceeds going toward ARCH Hospice. In its first year, the store donated $9,000 to the hospice.

SooToday reached out to the store owner and ARCH last week about the closure and the effect it will have on the hospice's fundraising efforts, but did not receive a response.
