The Sault Climate Hub is hosting a free webinar next week, exploring the climate crisis and how our actions, both personally and professionally, can tackle it.
The speaker for the event is Joanie McGuffin, the executive director of the Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy.
McGuffin will share some of the programs and projects of LSWC (Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy) and LSWC Inc., who are set up to work as sister charity organizations in Canada and the U.S. with a common mission and purpose for the health and well-being of the Great Lakes.
LSWC has three land trust preserves and oversaw the 1000-km connection of the Trans Canada Trail Lake Superior Water Trail between Whitefish Bay to Thunder Bay.
The group also operates an on-water, cultural and ecological interpretive program, called Canoes for Conservation.
Register for the event, which is on April 30 at 7:30 p.m., here.
