A Sault Ste. Marie man is being accused of driving impaired north of the city.
Ontario Provincial Police were called to a single-vehicle crash at around 10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 556 in Vankoughnet Township.
Officers suspected the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages, and after an investigation, 45-year-old Paul Beduhn was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation while Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
In addition, his licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for a week.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Beduhn is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
