- Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay
- Agawa - Lake Superior Park
- Wawa - Pukaskwa Park
Current details:
Lake effect snow squalls expected today.
What:
Heavy lake effect snow with additional accumulations of 15 to 20 cm.
Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 5 cm per hour. Reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.
When:
Beginning this morning and ending later this evening.
Discussion:
Lake effect snow off Lake Michigan and Lake Superior is expected to affect portions of Highway 17 today from Batchawana Bay to Montreal River.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
