ENVIRONMENT CANADA
***********************
Snow squall warning replaces snow squall watch for:
Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay, Ont. (048820)
Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island, Ont. (048830)

Current details:
Multi-day lake effect snow squall event expected beginning today.

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of 15 to 30 cm possible by Wednesday.
Significantly reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Timing:
This afternoon into Wednesday.

Discussion:
Lake effect flurries and snow squalls will be heavy at times through Wednesday and possibly continue late in the week as strong northwesterly to westerly winds persist. Road closures are possible during this week especially over areas that receive multiple snow squall bands.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Road closures are possible.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
