Free digital creator programs at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library are an opportunity for youth to develop artistic and technological skills.
Held alternately at the Centennial Branch and the North Branch, there’s something planned for most weekdays and even a few Saturdays in September.
“These events include Gaming at the Library, and Movie Matinees,” said Sault Ste. Marie Public Library in a news release.
“We also have Open Studio events, where youth aged 10-19 can stop by and increase their creative and technical skills using the library’s tablets, laptops, and cameras.”
A lot of the events are drop-in, but some of them do require registration in advance, including principles of animation workshops, photography workshops, character design workshops and filmmaking fundamentals workshops.
More information about these events can be found on the library’s website.
