Local sports clubs and leaders are invited to learn more about organizing and hosting tournaments and championships by meeting Tourism Sault Ste. Marie at an event Nov. 16.
It will be a chance to connect with city representatives and learn more out about municipal supports and resources available for organizing successful competitions, which can be a benefit to sports and the city, a news release said.

Attendees will hear from Eric Belahov of the Coaches Association of Ontario, who will provide insights into the upcoming Coaches Super Clinics in Sault Ste. Marie, scheduled for Feb. 22 and 23.
Participants will also discover the benefits of partnering with the city and how its tourism division can enhance the visitor experience in the region.
Additionally, there will be information on accessing the Tourism Development Fund, offering financial assistance for those looking to host sporting events.
