Greyhounds acquire a third goaltender from QMJHL

The Soo Greyhounds have announced that they have acquired goaltender Matt Spezza off waivers from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Spezza, a native of Mississauga ONTARIO started the 2005/2006 major junior season in the OHL where he saw action with the defending Memorial Cup champion London Knights.

On November 2nd, the St. John's Fog Devils (QMJHL) acquired the big 6'2", 220-lb tender and in his first game with the team he was named the first star after stopping 41 of 42 shots versus Acadia Bathurst.

Matt joined the Hounds following the game in Windsor on Thursday night and has been assigned jersey #33.

This latest acquisition increases the Hounds roster to now include three goalies in Gajewski, Hache and Spezza.
