Sault Ste. Marie’s Brad Jacobs wrapped up action at the 2018 Masters on Friday on a tough note.

Coming off a pair of losses on Thursday, Jacobs finished the event with a 7-1 loss in four ends to Switzerland’s Yannick Schwaller.

The Jacobs rink, which includes third Ryan Fry, second E.J. Harnden and lead Ryan Harnden, finished the event with an 0-4 record.

With the hammer in the opening end, Schwaller scored a pair and then stole one in the second end to take an early 3-0 lead.

After Jacobs got one back in the third end, Schwaller sealed the win with four in the fourth.

The Masters, which is the second event in the Grand Slam of Curling season, and the first major, features 15 men’s and 15 women’s teams that are split into three divisions of five teams each on each side.

The top eight teams at the end of round robin action advance to the playoff round.
