Clyde Bridge returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter to break a 6-6 tie and help lift the Korah Colts to a 20-6 win over the White Pines Wolverines in a special showdown Wednesday night to decide the fourth and final playoff spot in the local high school football league senior division. Jeff Maki later scored to seal the victory for Korah, which will play the 5-0 St. Mary's Knights in one semi-final game, Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Rocky DiPietro Field. Jon Day had Korah's other TD, while Noah Rushon had the only major for WP. Korah and WP had finished the regular season tied for fourth with 2-3 records, prompting the one-game matchup to decide the last playoff spot. The Sir James Dunn Eagles and Bawating Braves, who both finished the regular season with 3-2 records, will play in the other semi, Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at DiPietro Field. The semi-final winners will meet for the city championship on Fri. Oct. 25.
