The Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics AA volleyball championship wrapped up on Thursday.
In senior action, the Korah Colts advanced to the gold medal game but came up short, dropping a three-set decision to North Bay’s Widdifield Wildcats – 25-8, 25-16, 25-11.
Widdifield will advance to the AA Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) tournament as a result of Thursday’s win.
In junior action, Superior Heights went unbeaten in round robin action to earn a spot in the gold medal game.
In the final, Superior Heights dropped a two-set decision to North Bay’s St. Joseph Scollard Hall – 22-25, 19-25.
