The Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club's annual ski swap is an opportunity for cross-country skiers to sell used equipment and purchase gear.
Sale of good condition cross-country skis, boots, poles, snowshoes and outdoor clothing is by consignment. Proceeds are donated to support the Soo Finnish Nordic race team. Donated items are welcome, which go directly to the race team.
Those interested in selling gear can drop it off at the Water Tower Inn rear entrance from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. To expedite the drop off of items, equipment registration forms are available to download from soofinnishnordic.com. The price of items can be determined during the drop off on Friday evening.
The swap will take place at the Water Tower Inn ballrooms, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. There is also a bake sale, with Hiawatha Highlands trail passes, Soo Finnish Nordic memberships and swag also for sale. Unsold items and any money owing to the consignee can be picked up on Saturday from 1-2 p.m.
