The St. Basil Saints continued to display their dominating form on Thursday with a convincing 43-22 win over the St. Mary's Knights.
The win improves the Saints record to 7-0 and gives the team a comfortable lead on top of the high school girls basketball league senior division standings.
Kaitlin DeBoer led the Saints attack with 10 points while Rachel Cobean added eight points. Andrea Palombi led the Knights attack with nine points while Trisha Mazzotta added six points.
In the junior division contest, St. Mary's used nine points from Kira Favaro and eight from Brittney Denneny to defeat St. Basil 41-29. Laura DiDonato and Adrianna Bruni paced the Saints attack with eight points each.
Action resumes on Tuesday as Korah visits St. Basil, St. Mary's travels to White Pines and Sir James Dunn plays host to Bawating. Mount St. Joseph College will enjoy a bye. Junior games begin at 4:15 p.m. followed the senior game at 5:45 p.m.
