Friday morning’s incident at Superior Heights has forced a venue change for the annual Eric Nystedt Memorial boy’s basketball tournament.
The school was not officially on lockdown on Friday morning, but after a threat was made on the school, city police and the Algoma District School Board conducted an investigation and entrance to the school was only allowed through the main doors.
Full access to the school was restored around noon hour but not in time for the start of the tournament, which had games scheduled to tip off at noon at Superior Heights.
The new venues include White Pines and added games at Korah, which was already scheduled to host a game.
