SAULT COMMUNITY CAREER CENTRE

Sault Community Career Centre, in partnership with Workforce, will be holding a job fair on Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The job fair will be held at Sault Community Career Centre, 503 Queen Street East. Workforce employers will be onsite for interviews, so please bring a copy of your resume and references.  

Workforce is actively expanding and seeking part-time/contract work for office/clerical support and industrial/commercial skilled labour positions in and/or outside of Sault Ste. Marie. Shift work is required at this time.  

Duties for office/clerical support positions may include answering and directing phone calls and other duties as required. Must be familiar with computers (Microsoft Word, etc.). Must be familiar with email, telephone systems, and radio communications. 

Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, checks, etc. Take minutes of meetings and dictations while assisting in office management and organization procedures.

Duties for skilled trades positions include being physically fit, operating machines or equipment related to your area of specialty, interpreting blueprints or schematics, installing various systems, following safety and building regulations, maintaining various types of equipment, training or supervising apprentice workers, and helping to direct a team.  

Applicants that possess training associated with Working at Heights or confined spaces or respiratory fit tests are considered an asset.  Workforce is willing to train applicants for these various skill requirements if needed.  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can also be covered or partially covered for newly-hired staff.
