We are saddened to announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Matty on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Health Sciences North at the age of 66.
Born to Peter and Caroline Armstrong. Dear brother of David (Mary Rose), late Michael, late Robert, late Glen, late Neil, Keith, Tammy and Tina. Beloved uncle of Tia, Morgan, Taylor, Tyler, Stacey, Anne, Calixte, Brandon, Becky, Beth, Jordie, Jamie, Brooklyn, Lacey, Destiny, Kyle, Kassidy, Chloe, and Cameron. Papa to the grandchildren Brody, Caroline, Christine, Claire, Terrance, Hailey, Richard, Summer, Gracie, Jacob, Elaine, Edison and Atlas. Matty will also be missed by his many cousins and close friends.
Matty will be lovingly remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering kindness. He cared for and held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. Matty had many pastimes, spending his days playing cards with friends and family. He was also known to frequent numerous Bingo halls from Sault Ste. Marie to Niagara Falls. He enjoyed participating in community events and sharing his many stories and experiences. Most entirely, he will be fondly remembered for his teasing sense of humour.
