June Baltes, 86, of Highland, Indiana passed away on February 18, 2025, surrounded by her daughters.
June is survived by her loving daughters, Karen (Ed) Clapp of Valparaiso and Georgiann (David) Eriks of Highland; grandchildren, Lauren (Tom) Bridgmon, Paula Eriks (Eli), David Eriks (Sydney) and Ian (Kathryn) Clapp; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Hannah Bridgmon and Michael and Lincoln Clapp as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Baum; brothers, Jack Baum, Jim Baum and sister, Elizabeth (Baum) Locasto.
She lived in NWI her entire life, after retiring from Inland Steel, she enjoyed working at dependent care at Highland elementary schools. Her favorite thing was spending summers at her camp on Island Lake with her many cousins and making memories on the screened in porch.
June had a wonderful group of friends whom she had known since school and they enjoyed traveling, spending time together and having a lot of laughs. She also enjoyed her Bible study groups at New Life Church.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, beginning at 10:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00pm at Hillside Funeral & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
June lived for her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
