Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on June 23, 2025, at the age of 66.
Survived by his wife and best friend Charlene Barbeau and children Luc Barbeau, Amanda Barbeau, and Chara Barbeau. Papa to Brooklyn Barbeau (Dreden Dunn), Mercedes Bjornaa, John Majeau, Luc Gingras, Beau Gingras, Jesse Biron, Audra Triplett, Samarah Hammond, Louis Barbeau and Annika Ebare. Great papa to 4.
Son of the late Harvey and Selena Barbeau (nee Millward). He was predeceased by his siblings Wayne (Edith), Barry, Bruce (Maureen), and Judy and survived by brother Paul Barbeau (Margaret). Son in law of the late Melvin and Ethel Dale. Brother-in-law to Randy Dale, Sharon Dale (Yvon), Dennis Dale (Susan), Lonnie Dale (Maxine) and Kevin Dale (Marlene). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
John will be missed by his hunting and fishing buddies – Desi Ebare, Dennis Vince, Mario Avati, Douglad Ross, Dave Dowding and the Cooper Lake gang.
As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
The family would like to thank the EMS and the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department for their compassion and care given to our family.
