It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our sister, Bruna, surrounded by her family on Monday, June 16, 2025. Predeceased by her husband Domenico and her parents Vittoria and Domenico (Antonio) Ferrone.
Bruna was more than our big sister. She was our confidante, our protector and our best friend. Her unwavering support, compassion and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Our sister was a wonderful cook and baker. Her meals were incredible and her amaretti cookies and pizzelle were the best.
She is survived by her sister Maria Watts (late John), her brother Vincent Ferrone (late Diane) and her brother Don Ferrone and sister-in-law Carol Shamess.
Bruna loved her nieces and nephews and they loved her: Robert Ferrone (Valerie), Ramona Chichester (Brent), Katherine DiBenedetto (Jody), Vince Ferrone Jr. (Carolyn), Victoria Watts (Ken), Paula Watts (Steve), Andrea Watts, and David Ferrone. Also survived by her many great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.
The family sends a big thank you to Gigette Palumbo (Luigia) and Vallee Korab for all your support over the years. Many thanks to her Tuesday night card group and Thursday afternoon coffee group. Together you all made her life so much better.
We send our grateful thanks to Dr. Mir Shafiee and Dr. Kathryn Woolner for their wonderful care of Bruna over the years.
As per Bruna’s wishes a private funeral was held. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation – Renal Care Fund or Cardiac Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
