Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 after a long battle with lung cancer at the age of 71 surrounded with friends and family.
She was predeceased by her mother Francis, father Nick and brothers Pat, Jim and Steve. She leaves behind her children Peter Belkosky (Kristine) and Dawn Belkosky. Grandchildren Nicholas, Kendra, Shauna and Chrisi, sister Linda, sisters-In- law Debbie and Jane, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Baba to most, Mary Ellen lived her whole life in Sault Ste Marie and was passionate about her family and friends. She had a great love of animals and saved many over the course of her life. She loved nothing more than visiting with friends and family. A prolific artist, she shared her great gift of artistic talent with her daughter Dawn. The family wishes to thanks the dedicated doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital for their care and support.
Mary Ellen had no wish for a funeral or fancy send off. Her wishes were to celebrate her life and share memories about her.
