BERING, Catherine

Peacefully passed away at Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Thursday, March 31, 2016 with her husband at her side. Beloved wife of William for 58 years. Loving mother of Laurie Tansey (Jim) and Jim Bering (Ankica). Cherished Oma of Alexandra Gayowsky (Jesse Ziter), Liam Tansey, James Bering (Kat Tomoski), Adam Bering (Kim Bolton), and Lauren Calcara (Roberto). Dear sister of Margaret Pelvay (Frank), Susie Binder (Nick) and the late Therezia Kramer. Sister-in-law of Peter Bering (Audrey). Catherine will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Island Springs Golf Resort on St. Joseph Island on Saturday, April 16 from 3-6pm. Family and friends are welcome to stop by or stay awhile to share memories. Memorial contributions made to ARCH or to Matthews Memorial Hospital Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated by the family.
