With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Irene on Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Sault Ste. Marie at the age of 76.
Daughter of the late Onni and late Margaret Koivisto. Loving big sister to Carolyn Crowder (Everett) and the late Paul Koivisto (Brenda). Special aunt to Chris Crowder, Lisa Krug, Jim and Lee Koivisto. Great aunt to Cameron, Kayden, Patricia and Britton Crowder, Kaitlyn and Emily Grasley, Braedon and Jocelynn Krug, Karsyn, Paige, Karter, Matti, and Niko Koivisto.
Irene will always be remembered by her close friends Anne Corcoran, Esterita Slotnick and the Stewart family. She will be missed by her aunts, uncles, as well as her many cousins and friends. A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions to Sault Area Hospital Foundation, ARCH, or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
