Unexpectedly at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in his 75th year.
Father of Jeremy and Kimberly. Papa of Taylor, Jonathan, Anthony, Thomas, Jocelyn, Kieara, Kala, Mya and Hailey. Great Papa of Kai, who he was so excited to meet.
Predeceased by his parents Algar and Francis (nee Wells) Bond. Brother of the late Joanne and Darryl (Sandy) and uncle of Ryan.
Dale was raised in Englehart. His early life was filled with many challenges and time in the hospital. He did not let these challenges define him. He was a man of strength and resilience. He raised 2 children and worked part-time. Many people over the years recognized him by his unique walk, sometimes referred to as ‘hop along’.
Saturday morning garage sales were where he perfected the art of ‘dickering’, as he would find good deals or unique items.
While he had physical limitations, he never let this hold him back from enjoying whatever he set his mind to, whether it was camping, swimming, boating or snowmachining to list a few. He loved animals and always had a cat, or a dog curled up behind his legs. He was a man that always offered unsolicited advice, whether you needed it or not, but they are words you always carry with you.
He will be remembered as our old man. We love you and will miss you dearly.
As per Dale’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Inurnment to be held at the Engelhart Cemetery.
Thank you to the staff on Birch 1 at F. J. Davey Home for the care given to Dale. He appreciated the care you provided and the meaningful chats and laughs he had with you.
