Peacefully at home, resting in his chair, Manley quietly slipped from his earthly home to his eternal home on Thursday, July 14, 2016. He would have celebrated his 88th birthday on the 16th of September. He was the eldest child of the late Oliver and late Margaret Bonin. Manley or Ron as some knew him, is predeceased by both his siblings Clara Mae Dewling (late Bob) and Gilbert Bonin. Manley will be missed by his friend and partner in life Marg Tanner. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his children; Deedee Huckerby (Gary), Debbie LaRocque (Ovide), Tim Guenette (Lesa), and the late Kim Guenette. He was also a father figure to Marg’s children, especially Alvin Tanner (Theresa) and the late Christine Tanner. He held a special place in the hearts of all his grandchildren; Cynthia Guenette (Kyle McCaughley), Jennifer Rawlins (Kevin), Calvin Guenette (Taryn Brown), the late Kelly LaRocque, Alicesa Pullan (Jeff), Mikayla and Baylee Huckerby and Andrew Kartasinski, Jacklyn, Darien, April, Sharolyn and Travis.  Although he didn’t get to meet all of his great grandchildren he did love them all; Sasha, Nevaeh and Hayley Rawlins, Adam and Clara Rose McCaughley, Rielly, Chase, Cameron and Destiny. After his forced retirement due to surviving lung cancer in 1989, he volunteered for years at the Van Daele Nursing Home and sold fundraising tickets for the Moose Lodge, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Legion. He loved playing darts and bowling and he loved to hunt and fish. He spent many hours over the years fishing down at the board walk in Sault Ste. Marie. He had a big heart and was always willing to do what he could to help someone else. At his request there will be no service. Cremation will have taken place and he will be interred with his mom in Greenwood cemetery. Our family would encourage you to remember Manley by doing something special for someone else.
