Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Pamela for 49 years. Predeceased by his parents Oliver William and Eva Gertrude (McGregor) and 5 siblings. Brother-in-law of George (Mick) Guye (late Evelynn) of Shelburne, N.S., Leslie Harrison (Gail) of Mitchell, ON and their families. Special cousins Wayne Sparham (Marilyn) and Catherine Terrick (Michael) and their families. Clayton will be missed by his extended family in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Clayton began training as a C.A. in Sudbury and changed course to enter the office of training Program as a P.P.C.L.I. He was invalidated out with an honourable discharge of the rank of Lieutenant. He was with Security Police at Lac Nor Mine of Elliot Lake then entered Toronto Teachers College as a mature student. Clayton spent all his teaching career but one year with the Sault Board of Education, mostly in the field of Special Education. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2015 at 10 am at St. Luke’s Cathedral. Archdeacon Hugh Hamilton officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the St. Luke’s Cathedral would be greatly appreciated.
