On Monday, April 22, 2025, we lost a son, a partner, and a brother Angelo Giovanni Brunetta due to complications from a hard-fought battle with cancer.

First born son of Maria (nee Mellea) and late Luigi Brunetta. Long time partner of Pamela Ranieri. Brother of Anthony Brunetta (Brenda Dinsmore) who he could always rely on, whenever any craving, food wise, needed to be satisfied!

Loved by many cousins and his nephew Mike Brunetta (Katie Dorricott). Love and thanks to his cousin Sarah and aunt Anna that helped and guided him through this tragic period in his life, and the comfort given to him in his final hours. These moments of compassion will not be forgotten.

Memories of my brother are burned in my brain, we had some rough times, but whenever I needed him even if I thought I didn’t he was there for me. He loved me and I loved him, despite our faults, trust me, he came to my rescue more than I deserved. And as many of you know, if you needed something he was there for you!

In the eighties, my brother achieved the Duke of Edinburgh Award in the Air Cadets and was a member of the 48th reserve. He had many passions – planes, trains, and for a while punk rock! Trust me, in an Italian family it was kind of frowned upon, but his parents were still proud of him. If you remember Ang, you know he would be there, give you what he could and never question your decisions – or he shook his head at you but never judged.

We will never forget you. Brother, son, partner, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend.

Special thank you to Dr. Fabrarro for keeping him positive and her daily commitment to fighting this deadly demon, cancer. Thank you to the nurses, psws especially Susan and all the hospital staff that are sometimes saddled with taking the brunt of some people’s frustration that they find themselves in this terrible situation. Your work and kindness and the trauma you must feel is not unnoticed.

Rest easy brother, we will see you on the other side.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, TAAG, NCIN, SSM Humane Society or a charity of choice.
