Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with her family by her side on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ned Burns. Loving mother of Bill McKeachnie (late Terttu), Peggy McKeachnie, Joan Hodges (Rick) and predeceased by Wayne McKeachnie (Lianne) and Patricia McKeachnie. Proud nana of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Edith will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 705-759-2522.
